Hear the best of my 4 years of composition studies in my senior recital featuring all original works!

World Premiere of Stark’s orchestration of Lena McLin’s “The Christmas Canata,” to be performed as part of the Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers end of semester concert, accompanied the DCJS’ Orchestra.

A full concert of premieres of new works by the Ithaca College Composition Studio. This performance featured unique works by 10 different composers, including neo-romanticism to modern jazz to contemporary timbral music. Corey Stark’s piece was “Sakura Sakura,” a spin on a traditional Japanese folk song arranged for a jazz combo.

World Premiere of the overture to the Mantis Symphony by Corey Stark. This premiere was followed by another world premiere of Jorge Grossman’s Guitar Concerto and a wonderful expression of Symphony No. 3 ‘Eroica’ by Beethoven.

Loosely based on Anton Chekov’s The Seagull, Stupid F##ing Bird explores the timeless struggles between generations, art, love, and growing up.
This production included original music by Corey Stark.

Oskar, a bullied and lonely teenager, befriends a mysterious new neighbor Eli, a teenager stuck in time, amidst a series of sinister killings in their neighborhood. Based on the award-winning Swedish bestseller, Let the Right One In is a chilling, coming-of-age vampire myth that “will wring your heart while scaring the mortal stuffing out of you” (The New York Times).
